I had the privilege to meet with a passionate group of folks in a small community a little over an hour west of Nashville, TN for a weekend training event. The group was a mix of men and women, young adults and elders who are excited to launch Christ-centered recovery programs in their immediate areas. Four different church groups were representented as they came to participate in the intensive Free Indeed/Recovery Road training event.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people will ask to speak to me privately after the training is complete to ask me to specifically pray for a loved one who is struggling in the cycle of depression and/or addiction. Of course, I am honored to pray for them and their loved one, but I also encourage them in the promises of Acts 17:24,27 that says (I'm paraphrasing) that God made everything and that He is never far from anyone, making it possible for even those who grope in darkness to stumble across Him. These simple yet profound promises never fail to bring me hope and I find that they do the same for the folks with whom I meet along my way.

The training was a huge success and now more than forty more people are trained and ready to establish the Free Indeed & Recovery Road programs in their communities.

Would you like to know how you can take part in the next training or invite us to conduct a training for your church or small group? Send me an email jbellman@fheronline.org.

Soon the complete Free Indeed & Recovery Road programs will be available through this website and on our mobile app for those who don't have access to local/in-person groups.
